Continuity of care for families landing in Cap-Haitien
U.S. removal flights are already on the ground in northern Haiti. On August 20, 2026 an ICE charter carrying 161 people landed in Cap-Haitien — the first flight after Haiti's Temporary Protected Status ended. A second U.S. flight followed on August 27, with many more flights to follow. They land in the North because Port-au-Prince's airport is treated as too dangerous. Roughly 350,000 Haitian nationals lost TPS protection. People who built medical regimens in the United States are arriving with diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney disease, HIV, sickle cell disease, or a pregnancy — into a system they do not know. Haiti already has the highest maternal mortality ratio in the Americas. Interrupted insulin is not a future risk. It is this month's clinical problem.

The Foundation is standing up physician-supervised navigation in the corridor where the planes are landing — routing time-sensitive cases into Justinien and the GRAHN-AMHE Health Center at Génipallier/Milot, and briefing partner sites in Léogane and Pignon for the next wave. The gap is not ideas. It is funded desks, bridging medicine, and named receiving clinicians at the pace of the flights.
